  • Bengaluru: One Health City Program

One Health City Bengaluru (November 2020- Present)

The One Health approach integrates health for the environment, biodiversity, livestock  and humans. This program seeks to build a network of practitioners and scientists who will evaluate the value of shared environment, biodiversity and livestock monitoring  for pathogens  in  the changing  milieu of a large and active Indian city. This network will engage with and inform policy makers,  city planners  and the health  authorities. These efforts will promote transparent engagement with stakeholders that will allow and encourage citizen participation, innovation and entrepreneurship to facilitate local solutions and sustainability. The partners engaged in this program include eminent scientists, academic institutes, non-profit organisations and government officials, including the Principal  Scientific Advisor to the Government of India.
